Bonhams appoints Suzanne Davis as Deputy Chairman Canada

Bonhams fine art auctioneers appoints Suzanne Davis as Deputy Chairman Canada.

Ms. Davis will work closely with the Bonhams representatives and offices worldwide to offer Canadian clients exposure to the international marketplace with the company’s sales in London, Paris, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Sydney. Bonhams successful sourcing of consignments in Canada, for our numerous auctions will continue, as will finding the best possible international location for the sale of Important Canadian Art.

Suzanne Davis comments, “Bonhams global reach is able to provide a window on the world’s art markets to maximize the financial return for clients. Ms. Davis has enjoyed a multi-faceted career that spans four decades and two continents, constantly adding to the wealth of experience that she now brings to Bonhams. For more than 22 years, she worked for an international auction house as President of its Canadian branch, and as a Senior Vice President for its US company. While there, she developed business operations in Canada and, for the last three years, she continued to provide support and assistance for buyers and sellers as an International Representative and Consultant.

Ms. Davis is the current Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Textile Museum of Canada. She is also on the National Advisory Board for the Canadian Friends of the Israel Museum, and is a member of the Exhibitions & Education Committee at the Gardiner Museum, Toronto. She is also closely involved with the Kidney Foundation of Canada and is a committee member of their New Challenge Campaign. She frequently acts as a guest auctioneer at benefit auctions for major museums and art institutions across Canada.
