Bonhams, has appointed Akiko Tsuchida as the company’s new Managing Director, Business Development, in Japan with immediate effect.
Based in Tokyo, Akiko will be responsible for raising Bonhams profile in Japan and winning new clients for the company sales in London, New York and Hong Kong.
Akiko was born in Japan and is a graduate of the Meiji University. She entered the art world by studying with a leading international auction house in London.
On the completion of her studies she joined the company’s Classic Car Department leaving after some time to join Bonhams and Brooks
as theirClassic Car representative in Japan.
Ms Tsuchida has extensive experience of the financial world, having worked for some years with large American and Japanese financial groups, focused on business with global institutional investors and developing high-net-worth connections for them.
