Hart Davis Hart to Auction a Magnificent Selection of Classic Bordeaux, Burgundy & Rare California Wines on June 22nd & 23rd at Tru Restaurant in Chicago

Sale Features First Growth Bordeaux, Top Vintages of DRC and an Encyclopedic Selection of Guigal’s Amazing Single-Vineyard Côte Rôties

(Chicago, IL) – Hart Davis Hart Wine Co., the internationally renowned wine auction house and retailer, will hold an exciting two day auction of Finest and Rarest Wines on June 22nd and 23rd at award-winning restaurant Tru, located at 676 North St. Clair Street in Chicago. This exceptional sale features private cellars from all areas of the United States and includes an extensive selection of First Growth Bordeaux, from top vintages such as 1982, 1989, 1995, 2000 and 2005.

Also included will be a spectacular selection of Burgundy from highly regarded estates. A stunning offering of wines from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti will go on the block including two 1990 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Assortments (estimated at $35,000-$55,000), and Assortments from 1996, 1999, 2001 and 2002. Also of special interest will be an encyclopedic offering of Guigal’s famed single-vineyard Côte Rôties. Over 60 lots are showcased, with particularly deep offerings from 1990, 1991, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998 and 1999. Additional highlights include a vast range of rare Champagne featuring 62 lots, including three magnums of 1979 Krug Collection and multi-case lots of 1985 Dom Pérignon Brut; 2000 Louis Roederer, Cristal; and 1999 Salon.

The auction, which includes a total of 1660 lots, is estimated to fetch $3.0-$4.5 million and will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. on both days.

As part of the auction weekend, Hart Davis Hart will host a special dinner, “The World’s Greatest Syrah” on Friday, June 24th at Publican Quality Meats.
