Lincoln (UK) Fine 1st editions copies of Ian Fleming’s “Dr No” and “Thunderball”, along with a 1914 Jules Verne “The Master of the World” headline the book section of Unique Auctions 26th May Fine Antiques & Collectors Sale (9am GMT).
Darryl Kirk of Unique Auctions said “We have received excellent prices for rare books and first editions over the past year, and it is excellent to see fine examples of rare and collectable editions coming up for sale. James Bond related items are always popular and the Dr No and Thunderball first editions are in excellent condition and the dust jackets are also in very condition. There are lots of images on our web site and we would advise any interested parties to view the books if possible.”
The sale also includes an early edition of Jules Verne’s “A Journey Into the Interior of the Earth”, a 1895 copy of Trilby by George du Maurier and an Arthur Rackham illustrated copy of The Vicar of Wakefield.
