Also included in the sale held at Richard Winterton Auctioneers was Lot 329, another rare green GPO telephone from the 1930’s which totalled £1,080. It had been consigned by a vendor on the south coast who had spotted the result of the previous sale in the press where an exceptionally rare green model with bellbox had been sold for close to £4,000.

Fine wines and spirits formed an integral part of the sale where over sixty Lots of rare and fine wines and spirits were on offer. The section totalled just under £10,000. The highest single price was the £420 bid for Lot 417, a rare malts selection to include a single malt whisky aged 20 years.
