Dreweatts & Bloomsbury Auctions are pleased to announce their Summer Fine Wine sale, offering collectors the chance to stock the cellar with over 350 lots of vinous treasure in a range of lot sizes from single bottles to cases of magnums. Following the success of their inaugural London Fine Wine auction, the sale will be held on Wednesday 18 June at their saleroom in London’s Mayfair.
At the heart of the sale is a truly outstanding cellar from a Hampshire collector which features multiple vintages and formats of the powerhouses of the Rhone, both north and south – Jaboulet, Beaucastel, Vieux Telegraph and Paul Avril’s Clos Des Papes. With cases stored both in a wonderful 150 year old chalk cellar and in long term professional merchant storage, the provenance and condition of these lots is impeccable.
Other highlights of the collection for Bordeaux lovers include full and half cases of Chateau Lafite 1996 [lots 105, 145, 145a, 145b,145c], half cases from Chateau Cheval Blanc [lot 121] , Chateau Ausone [lot 122], Chateau Margaux [lot 144] and Mouton Rothschild [lot 143].
Not content with only two classic regions the collection also contains multiple lots of Fine burgundy from Denis Bachelet, Denis Mortet, Leroy, Simon Bize, Nicholas Potel and Mugneret-Gibourg.
To complement the array of cases on offer we also have an outstanding champagne section to start the sale which includes magnums of Pol Roger Winston Churchill 1986 [lot 7], 2 bottles of 1952 Silver Jubilee Pol Roger owned by the late Sir Humphrey Lyttelton [lot 3], a bottle of 1976 Krug Collection [lot 24], 2 vintages of Salon and an incredibly rare bottle of Veuve Clicquot Grande Dame 1962 [lot 4], the first vintage of this wine ever made and one of only 6000 bottles produced.

Fortified wine aficionados will be excited by the presence of a single bottle of Oscar’s 1837 vintage Bual Madeira [lot 299] and a single bottle Barbadillo’s stunning Amontillado Reliquia [lot 298].
