Following the introduction of Fine Wine sales to their London saleroom, Dreweatts and auction partner Bid for Wine are pleased to announce their first Fine Wine sale of 2015, and their most exciting to date. The sale, which features a superb array of iconic and classic wines, champagnes, ports and select spirits, will be held on 24th February at Dreweatts in London’s Mayfair.

Our London Fine Wine Sales have gone from strength to strength throughout 2014 and so it is great to be taking yet another big step forwards.”
There are a number of iconic wines featured in the sale, which is drawn from a number of sources, but predominantly from wines in professional storage. Some have legendary status and are widely held to be amongst the very best examples ever made. These include Chateau Lafite 1945, Hermitage La Chapelle 1978, Roumier Bonnes Mares 1999 and Vega Sicilia Unico1969.
The sale offers a rare chance to purchase truly stunning wines in a variety of formats, from single bottle lots of Chateau Margaux 1913, to a sealed mixed case of Domaine de la Romanee Conti wines from 2004 to 19th century vintage Madeiras.
There is a particularly strong showing from France with numerous cases of top Bordeaux Chateaux available, including Le Pin 2001, some extremely attractive Burgundies from Rousseau, Roumier, Groffier, Dujac, Ponsot and DRC and a fabulous Rhone section with Chateau Rayas, Guigal, JL Chave and Jaboulet all strongly represented.
The quality of the lots continues throughout the sale with top vintage champagnes, cases of fine vintage port and a parcel of top drawer Erdener Pralat Riesling Auslese 2001 from Dr Loosen.
