GEORGE CUHAJ IS NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF CATALOGING AND CONSIGNOR RELATIONS AT ARCHIVES INTERNATIONAL AUCTIONS, LLC, IN FORT LEE, N.J

Mr. Cuhaj brings 40 years’ of collecting experience to the firm and has authored many articles.

FORT LEE, N.J. – George Cuhaj has been named Vice President of Cataloging and Consignor Relations at Archives International Auctions. LLC, a firm that specializes in buying, selling, appraising and auctioning U.S. and worldwide banknotes, scripophily (stocks and bonds), coins, historic documents, autographs, philatelic material (rare, collectible postage stamps) and postal history.

Mr. Cuhaj brings 40 years’ of experience to the firm. For the past 20 years he has been editor of the Standard Catalog of World Coins and the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money at Krause Publications in Iola, Wisc. Prior to that he was with Stack’s Rare Coins and the American Numismatic Society as their first computer systems operator in the early 1980s.

Mr. Cuhaj is an allied professional member of the National Sculpture Society and is a Fellow at both the American Numismatic Society and the Royal Numismatic Society. He holds life memberships in the American Numismatic Association, the CSNS and TAMS. His articles have been published in The Numismatist magazine and The Medal (the publication of the British Art Medal Society).

Mr. Cuhaj’s art medals have been exhibited at the international exhibitions sponsored by FIDEM. His many skills will be put to the test right away, as Archives International Auctions prepares for an auction on Tuesday, March 10th dedicated to more than 1,000 lots of U.S. and worldwide banknotes, Federal bonds and documents, and security printing ephemera.

The auction will take place at Archives International Auctions’ main offices, located at 1580 Lemoine Avenue (Suite 7) in Fort Lee, N.J., and online, at www.ArchivesInternational.com. The auction will begin at 10:30 a.m. Eastern time. Headlining the sale will be an exceptional single-owner collection of Middle Eastern banknotes and possibly the largest to be offered in the U.S..
