Chinese Coins, Silver, and Modern Paintings Abound at 888 Auctions May 24 Auction

Richmond Hill, ON – As the auction season heads towards the summer season, 888 Auctions is anticipating robust bidding action at its May 24 auction featuring Chinese Coins, Silver and Modern Paintings. The 397-lot sale is headlined by a diverse range of authentic ancient Chinese coins and modern numismatic items.

Spearheading the great selection of Chinese coins are two coins: a Chinese Yuan Dynasty (1316) Yuanyou Sannian Coin and Chinese Ming Xia Dynasty (1363) Tiantong Tongbao with high estimates reaching $1,500 and $2,000 at Lot 185 and Lot 187, respectively.

Lot 293 features a Chinese Carved Tianhuang Stone Dragon Seal while Lot 321 features a Burma Emerald Green Jadeite Bangle Certificate. Lot 293 carries a high estimate of $20,000 while Lot 321 carries a $12,000 high estimate.
