As the United States’ preeminent auction house, Hart Davis Hart has been privileged to represent some of the greatest cellars in the world. In September we introduced what was then the highest value wine auction globally since early 2019, which realized $19.2 million and included The Financier’s Collection, a pristine selection of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti with incredible depth.
To conclude the banner year, HDH then hosted the world’s largest wine auction in December, larger even than our September sale. Our closing sale of the year realized over $19.6 million for just over 3200 lots. The Philip Cellar was the cornerstone of this sale, the largest single offering of Burgundy on record from a North American collector.
