The 23rd Tamarkin Photographica Rare Camera Auction will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 1:00 PM at their showroom in Woodbridge, Connecticut. The company also has a must-see New York showroom crammed with collectible cameras in the Gramercy Park/Union Square neighborhood. Their auction catalog lists more than 500 items including vintage Zeiss, Leica and Voigtlaender cameras starting at under $100.

Opticians Lantern Projector with the Maker’s shield marked “Opticians to Her Majesty the Queen” (EX+ condition, $1,500 – $2,500) and a stunning Leica IIIf Black Self Timer with 50mm Elmar f3.5 lens — one of the rarest of all Leica screw-mount cameras (Ex+ condition, $7,500 – $12,500).

The illustrated catalogue is $20 postpaid ($25 foreign).
