Rago Discovery Auction September 10-11

On September 10 and 11, 2010 Rago’s invites you to take part in its biggest and best Discovery sale to date, where you can find everything from George Nakashima to Jeff Koons.

“The Discovery sales are the way great country auctions used to be – but with a far cooler selection of anything from Eames furniture to jelly cupboards, Asian bronzes to jewelry by Cartier.” says David Rago.

Auction
• Friday, September 10 at 10 a.m.: Jewelry and silver, Arts and Crafts, Asian/tribal, traditional furnishings, art glass, garden, fine art, coins, textiles. Total lots: 650.
• Saturday, September 11 at Noon: Modern furnishings, decorative arts, contemporary art glass, lighting, contemporary pottery, metalwork, fine art. Total lots 605.
• Telephone, absentee, online bidding available for those unable to attend.

Auction Exhibition/Preview
• Saturday, September 4, 2010 through Thursday, September 9 from 12-5 p.m. or by appointment (closed on September 6 for Labor Day). Doors open on Friday at 8 a.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m.

The sale contains a variety of fine jewelry, costume jewelry and silver. There is American and European silver, Bakelite, Asian, Art Deco, vintage costume jewelry, watches, diamond cocktail rings, Navajo silver, ”Jelly-Belly” brooches with Rhinestones, a collection of vintage fruit brooches, Celtic Revival jewelry, cameos and more.
