Hart Davis Hart to Conclude the Year with a Stellar Auction Featuring Remarkable Burgundy & Bordeaux on December 8th at TRU Restaurant in Chicago

Pre-Auction Dinner Hosted By Jack Daniels, President and Founder of Wilson Daniels, on December 7th

(Chicago, IL) – Hart Davis Hart Wine Co., the internationally renowned wine auction house and retailer, will hold an exciting auction of Finest and Rarest Wines on December 8th at award-winning restaurant Tru, located at 676 North St. Clair Street in Chicago. This exceptional sale will feature private cellars from all areas of North America and will include vast offerings of rare Burgundy from Coche-Dury, Leroy, Vogüé and Rousseau and impressive collections of First Growth Bordeaux from such top vintages as 1982, 1989, 1995, 2000 and 2005.

The sale will feature a remarkable 108 lots of Burgundy from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti including 186 bottles of La Tâche, 25 bottles of Romanée-Conti, and 12 bottle Assortments from 1992, 1996 and 1997.

Other prominent consignors include an East Coast collector offering treasures from his extensive cellar of Bordeaux and Burgundy. Aficionados will have the opportunity to acquire sought-after wines of the best vintages such as 1989 Château Haut-Brion (est. $9,000-$14,000), 1990 Château Margaux (est. $6,500-$9,500) and 1996 Château Latour (est. $6,000-9,000) all offered in their original wood cases.

California collectors will find a plethora of exciting wines highlighted by eleven bottles of the famous 1974 Heitz Wine Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon, Martha’s Vineyard (est. $6,500-9,500), two bottles of 1997 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon (est. $4,500-6,500) and extensive groups of top cult producers Sine Qua Non, Schrader and Scarecrow.

As part of the auction, Hart Davis Hart will host a special dinner featuring the wines of Wilson Daniels Imports, including Domaine Leflaive and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The dinner will be hosted by Jack Daniels, President and Founder of Wilson Daniels, on December 7th at The Peninsula. Chef Lee Wolen will prepare a multi-course meal to pair with Domaine Leflaive Bâtard-Montrachet from 2010 and 2005 as well as four offerings from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti including the first release of the 2009 Corton and the rare 1990 Echézeaux.
