Meg Randell, specialist for the sale, said; “It is evident from the designers that the owner chose, such as Chanel and Dior, that this was a woman of great taste. The brands are iconic and therefore all of the pieces in her collection have a sense of enduring appeal.”
Amongst the highlights are eight Chanel handbags, including a black patent maxi flap bag estimated to fetch £1,200 and a Jersey jumbo tweed bag estimated at £800-£1,200. There are two highly desirable Louis Vuitton bags in the sale, one of which is a rare Yayoi Kusama black and white polka dot Lockit bag, estimated at £400-£600.

For Chanel lovers there is a great selection of Chanel blazers in various colours, all in the classic chic Chanel style and with estimates ranging from £300-£800.
Alongside this, in the jewellery section of the sale, are eleven pairs of Chanel earrings, including a pair with the Chanel No.5 design.

There is also a good range of Chanel necklaces and two very contemporary Chanel belts, with estimates ranging from £300-£800.

Christian Dior was another favourite and the sale includes a total of 16 pairs of earrings by the designer, with estimates ranging from £80-£150.

The previous owner we are told, was a woman of great elegance, confidence and character, both in her professional career and in her personal life and this has translated through to the clothes and accessories she chose.

Her collection comprises of trusted, well-known designers that complemented her personal style and matched her lifestyle, and as such should appeal to women who value the same attributes. “At a fraction of their cost however”, says Meg Randell, “we anticipate huge interest from all lovers of fashion from across Europe and beyond”.
