Benefit Auction Specialists (www.benefitauctionhelp.com) announces a spring training for fundraising coordinators, according to Ron Leftwich, auctioneer.
The spring training seminar is set for Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at the Manassas Baptist Church (Marstellar Annex) 8730 Sudley Road.
“Our pre-event consultations with clients have helped them realize over half a million additional dollars at events this spring as a direct result of just one of our proven fundraising techniques,” said Leftwich.
The seminar entitled “Your Path to Successful Benefit Auction Fundraising” is a comprehensive program and the materials are constantly being updated with new information, according to Leftwich. Topics covered include audience development, item acquisition, branding your event and developing a clear mission statement, organizing volunteers and avoiding volunteer burnout, proper silent auction displays, how to run a live auction, proper bid sheets and more.
He added, “In a few hours time we share the knowledge of our over 40 years of combined experience in successful fundraising events, plus a step-by-step 100 page guidebook they can take home with them to reference.”
Cost is $250 per person, $400 for two people attending from the same organization. There is a group discount for three or more people from within the same organization, contact BAS for more details.
“This is another opportunity to learn many proven techniques and ways to properly organize and run your next benefit auction event, no matter what the size or scale,” said Fred Reger, auctioneer. “In a time where every dollar counts, you cannot afford to miss this seminar.”
Reger emphasized, “This is a very small investment with the upside potential for a huge return.” He explained that based on raw data and testimonials from clients, many organizations that take part in the seminar and apply what they have learned routinely see an average gross increase of 20% or greater.
“You cannot afford to miss this seminar. It is an investment into your future fundraising efforts. No matter how large or small the scope of your fundraising events, the knowledge you will gain can be applied with great results,” said Leftwich.
