PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Freeman’s, America’s oldest auction house, is continuing to expand. After successfully launching regional offices in Charlottesville, Va., and Boston, Mass., three new hires will now focus attention on other regions. Freeman’s was founded in Philadelphia in 1805.
Also fresh from Bonham’s is Freeman’s new head of Fine Jewelry and Watches, Michael Larsen. A 20-year veteran of the jewelry profession, Mr. Larsen is both a GIA Graduate Gemologist and a Graduate Jeweler, as well as a Certified Gemological Appraiser from the American Gemological Society. In addition to running Freeman’s Fine Jewelry and Watches Department, Larsen, based in Los Angeles, will also serve as Freeman’s West Coast representative. He may be reached at [email protected].
Finally, insurance and auction world veteran William A. Rudd has joined Freeman’s to represent the Midwestern states. With over 40 years of experience in fine art, Mr. Rudd is expected to open new business opportunities for Freeman’s from his home base in Cincinnati. He may be contacted at [email protected].
